Today, I want to talk about how I set up the Klein Oak Tennis Weebly page. It was quite the journey, let me tell you.

First, I started by gathering all the information that needed to go on the site. I mean, everything. Player names, their class years, you name it. It was a lot, and keeping track of it all was a real headache. I used a bunch of spreadsheets, and honestly, I think I might have lost a few hairs over those.
Then, I dove into Weebly. It’s a pretty user-friendly platform, but it still took some time to get the hang of it. I played around with different templates and layouts, trying to find something that looked professional but was also easy to navigate. There were so many options, and at one point, I felt like I was just clicking buttons at random.
- Created a “Home” page. Simple enough, right? This is where I put the basic info about the team.
- Added a “Schedule” page. This was crucial. Everyone needs to know when and where the matches are.
- Made a “Tryouts” page. Gotta let those aspiring players know how to join the team.
- Built a “Teams” page. This is where I listed all the players. This took forever, by the way.
- Included a “FORMS” page. For all the official stuff that needs to be filled out.
- Set up a “Ladder” page. This was important for keeping track of player rankings.
- Added a “Sponsors” page. Gotta give a shout-out to the people who support the team.
- Wrote a “Rules” page. Because every team needs some guidelines.
- Crafted an “Expectations” page. To let everyone know what’s expected of them as part of the team.
- Uploaded a bunch of photos to the “Photo Archives” page. This was fun, looking back at all the memories.
After getting all the pages set up, I focused on the “Ladder” page, especially for the week of 4/1-4/14. I wanted to highlight the matches where the even-numbered players were up. It was a bit tricky to format, but I eventually figured it out.
I also remembered reading something about the Klein Oak Varsity tennis team heading to Cypress to face the Bridgeland Bears in a first-round playoff matchup. It started at 3 PM. I made sure to post an announcement about that on the “Home” page. Also, I created a “MEET THE PANTHER FORMS” page under “FORMS” because some special documents were required.
I noticed that the team was doing really well. They were heading to the finals against Tomball Tennis for the District Championship. They had wins against Mag West (16-3) and Tomball Memorial (10-9). I posted updates about these matches because, well, who wouldn’t want to brag about that?
Someone even posted a comment on Instagram, “25 likes, 1 comments – kleinoak_tennis on October 7.” I thought that was pretty cool, so I shared that on the site too, to show some social media love.
Finally, after days of work, I managed to get everything up and running. It wasn’t perfect, but it was functional. And you know what? I’m actually kind of proud of it. It’s a place where players, parents, and fans can get all the information they need about the Klein Oak Tennis team. And that’s what really matters.
So, yeah, that’s the story of how I built the Klein Oak Tennis Weebly page. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it. Hope you all find it useful!
