Hey everyone, today I’m gonna share my experience trying out Michael Jordan’s basketball workout. Yeah, the legend himself. I’ve always been a huge fan, and I thought, why not see what his training was like? Let me tell you, it was tough!

So, I started my day pretty early. First thing I did was some cardio. I ran around my neighborhood. After catching my breath, I did a quick warm-up to get my muscles ready. You know, some stretches, a little jumping. Nothing fancy, just enough to not pull something.
Then came the main part. I divided it into three parts, just like how I read Jordan did. For the first part, around lunchtime I focused on weight training. I don’t have fancy gym equipment at home, so I just used what I had – some dumbbells and resistance bands. I did some bicep curls, squats, and push-ups. I pushed myself for about an hour and a half, and man, I was feeling it.

I took a break, had some food, and then came part two. From like 3 PM to 7 PM, I focused on some plyometrics and calisthenics like I read about. I did a bunch of box jumps, push-ups, pull-ups if you can find something to do pull-ups on and burpees. I did it for what felt like forever. I was sweating buckets, but I kept pushing because I wanted to see what I could handle.

Finally, in the evening, around 7:30 PM, it was time for some actual basketball. Now, I don’t have a fancy dome like Jordan, but I went to my local court. I practiced my shooting, dribbling, and just ran around playing some pickup games with some guys there. I played hard for about two and a half hours. I tried to imagine I was in a real game, competing like Jordan. I wanted to win every game, every possession. I think that’s what made him so great, that competitive fire.

By 10 PM, I was completely wiped out. My body ached, I was exhausted, but I also felt amazing. I got a tiny glimpse into the kind of dedication and intensity Jordan had. It’s no wonder he was the best. It’s not just about the physical part, but also that mental toughness and the will to win. I definitely felt that during those pickup games.
This whole experience was eye-opening. It made me respect Jordan even more, not just as a player, but as a person who committed himself fully to his craft. Would I do this workout every day? Heck no! But it was an awesome experience, and I learned a lot about myself and what it takes to be great at something.
