Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole Colorado State football coach thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. I started out just poking around, you know, like you do when you’re curious about something.
First thing I did was hit up the usual spots online, looking for any news on who’s been coaching the team. Turns out, there’s this guy named Jay Norvell. He’s been the head coach since way back in December 2021. I guess the previous director of athletics, Joe Parker, was the one who gave him the job. Seemed like a big deal at the time.
I thought, “Okay, let’s see what this Norvell dude’s all about.” So, I kept digging. Found out he played college football for the University of Iowa from 1982 to 1985. And get this, he even played a season in the NFL as a linebacker for the Chicago Bears! Not too shabby, right? This guy must have been good once.
After that, I started looking into who else is on the coaching staff. I came across an email, it’s like a general contact for the team, “ramfootball@*.” I’m not going to contact them. Then I found a couple of names: James Finley and Jeremy Moses. They’re both assistant coaches, one for the offensive line and the other for the running backs. I wonder how they are managing.

I also stumbled upon another name, Jason Brown. This one was interesting because it wasn’t about football, but women’s basketball. Apparently, he used to be an assistant coach and even played for Delta College. Now he’s back as the head coach for the women’s basketball team. Good for him. It’s always nice to see someone return to their roots, you know?
