Well, let me tell you, these days, these young girls, they all wearin’ these womens sport jackets. You see them everywhere, runnin’ around, lookin’ all fancy. Back in my day, we just wore what we had, didn’t matter if it was for work or play. But these jackets, they somethin’ else. My granddaughter, she got one, says it keeps her warm when she’s out and about, playin’ her sports.
Zip Up Jackets, Good For Runnin’
She likes them ones that zip up the front. Says they’re easier to get on and off. Full zip athletic jackets, that’s what they call ’em. She’s got one with pockets, too. Says she can put her phone in there, and her keys. These new phones, always gotta have them with ya. We never had that, growing up. We just shouted across the field if we needed somethin’!
And the colors! Lord, the colors they come in. Pink, blue, green, every color you can think of. My granddaughter, she likes the bright ones. I told her she’s gonna get herself seen by the cars, wearin’ them bright colors. Better safe than sorry, I always say.
Lots of Choices for Jackets
- Some of them are slim fit, they hug you tight.
- Others are loose, give you room to move.
- Some are long, cover your backside.
- Some are short, show off your belly.
They even got different kinds for different weather. Some are thin, for when it’s just a little chilly. Others are thick, for when it’s real cold. They got these fancy names for ’em, too. Athletic running sports workout jacket. My, that’s a mouthful. We just called them coats.
Name Brands Cost a Pretty Penny
This one time, we went to the store, lookin’ at these womens sport jackets. She wanted one with a special name on it. Nike, I think it was. Or maybe Adidas. One of them fancy names. Cost a fortune, it did! I told her, “You could buy a whole cow for that price!” But she wanted it, so she saved up her money. Kids these days. They really do like them fancy brands.
These jackets are everywhere in the shops. Target, Macy’s, even that fancy Nordstrom place. That’s where all them rich folks shop. They got athletic jackets and sweatshirts there, more than you can shake a stick at. You can find some for maybe forty or fifty dollars. But some of them go for over a hundred! Can you believe that?
Jackets Keep You Warm, That’s What Matters
I saw some other names too. Under Armour, Zella, Alo. All these names I never heard of. Back in my day, we just had Sears, and that was good enough. Now, there are so many choices, it makes your head spin. My granddaughter, she says these new ones use special cloth, keeps you dry when you sweat. Dri-FIT, that’s what she called it.
You can find them in all sizes, too. Little ones for the little girls, and big ones for the bigger women. They got ones that are tight, and ones that are loose. Whatever you like, they got it. Seems like there is a jacket for everyone. Even saw a jacket for a dog once, can you imagine that? A dog in a jacket!
Well, I guess these womens sport jackets are alright. They keep you warm, they look nice, and the girls seem to like ’em. Me, I’m happy with my old sweater. But if these young ones want to wear these fancy jackets, that’s their business. As long as they’re happy, that’s all that matters. And if it helps them stay active and healthy, well, that’s a good thing too.
Just remember to watch the price tag, that’s all I’m saying. Some of these jackets, they cost more than a week’s worth of groceries! You can find some good deals on womens athletic coats and jackets if you look hard enough. I hear Kohl’s has some good prices sometimes. Just gotta keep your eyes peeled, that’s what I always say.
Nowadays, all these young gals are wearin’ them women’s sports apparel, head to toe. They got the pants, the shirts, the shoes, all matchin’ and lookin’ fancy. And these jackets are part of the whole getup. Puma, Reebok, all them big names. They sure do know how to sell things to these young folks. Back in my day, we just wore what was practical. Now it’s all about fashion, even when you’re playin’ sports. Times sure have changed, haven’t they?
