Headed straight for where it said “Academics” or “Athletics”… still nada. Found a calendar, but it was empty like a ghost town. Super frustrating.
Getting Smart with the Search
Alright, time to get sneaky. I opened another tab and typed: “Shroder Bengals football 2023 schedule”. Bingo! Saw a link pop up that looked like it might be it. Clicked it – landed on a site called something like “MaxPreps” or one of those sports hubs. Lo and behold, there it was!
Finally Found the Gold
Scrolled down a bit on this sports site page, and there they were: all the game dates laid out, opponents, times, even locations – home and away. Things I desperately needed to know:
- When and who they’re playing each week.
- Whether it’s a home game (gotta be there!) or away.
- What time kickoff is supposed to happen.
Took a deep breath and just screen-grabbed the whole schedule for my phone. Boom. Problem solved.
The Takeaway for Anyone Else
Forget the district site, honestly. Forget hunting through the school’s general pages too, unless you know exactly where they’ve hidden it – and good luck with that. Your best shot is that targeted Google search: “[Your School Name] [Team Nickname] football [Current Year] schedule”. Nine times outta ten, it’ll spit you out at a page on one of those big sports websites with the full, detailed list.
It ain’t the most elegant system, but hey, it got me what I needed. Hope this saves someone else the headache I went through!
