So today I wanted to figure out Mercer’s whole 2025 baseball lineup early, you know? Get my calendar ready before everyone else grabs all the good seats. Just fired up my laptop and went straight to Mercer Athletics’ main site first thing this morning. Figured they’d have schedules posted somewhere obvious.
Searched everywhere on their homepage. Scrolled down, clicked “Sports” dropdown, hunted for Baseball specifically. Found the Baseball team page finally under “Men’s Sports”. Clicked that bad boy open expecting a clear “2025 Schedule” button right there.
Nope. Nothing yet for 2025. Just the current season games sitting there, useless for planning ahead. Saw a tiny link saying “Future Schedules” way down at the bottom. Gave it a click…
- Page loaded slow as heck
- Bunch of fancy pictures but no actual dates
- Found a section called “Upcoming Seasons” – still no 2025 baseball listed
Got annoyed, slammed the search bar instead. Typed “Mercer Baseball 2025 Schedule” exactly. Results popped up with old press releases mostly. Saw one article titled “2025 Conference Opponents Announced” – jackpot! Clicked it faster than a fastball.
Here’s what worked:
Skimmed that whole announcement. They listed all the teams Mercer would play in 2025: teams from Conference A, teams from Conference B, couple big rival schools thrown in too. Dates? Still missing though. Found this buried deeper:
“Full schedule dates to be finalized Fall 2024”.
Total letdown. But hey, opponents list is better than nothing. Jotted down every single team name they mentioned against each game slot (home/away included). Copied it all into my notes app real quick.
Then flipped back to my calendar. Added placeholder events every Friday/Saturday/Sunday starting early Feb through May right where baseball weekends usually land. Labeled each weekend placeholder with “VS [Opponent Name] – HOME” or “AT [Opponent] – AWAY” from my list. Messy? Yep. Functional? Heck yeah.
Finally bookmarked that opponents list article. Set myself a calendar reminder for October 1st, 2024 titled “CHECK MERCER BASEBALL DATES – THEY SHOULD BE UP BY NOW”.
So yeah, didn’t get perfect dates. Got the framework done though. Opponents locked in, weekends blocked off, and a reminder to plug actual dates later. Better than scrambling last minute.
