Man, gotta tell ya about my adventure with that adidas women’s sports bra. Saw it online, looked sleek and comfy, just what I needed before my run club session. Figured, eh, adidas knows sports gear, right? So I grabbed one.

First Impressions Outta the Box
Ripped open the package – smelled like new workout gear, kinda plasticky but fresh. Held it up: man, it looked tiny. Seriously, way smaller than I imagined. But I thought, hey, stretchy fabric! Probably fine. Tags said “medium support” – sounded about right for my jogging.
Felt the material – kinda smooth, but thin? Dunno, expected a bit more… substance. Straps looked adjustable, which was good. Little clip thingy in the back for hooking. Okay, seemed straightforward enough.
Struggle City Getting Into This Thing
Time to actually put it on. Holy straps. Strapped myself in like I was prepping for space travel. That back hook? Fiddly as heck. Needed both hands plus maybe a third. Finally clicked it shut, breathing heavy already.
And the squeeze? Felt like a corset for my torso. Super tight across the ribs, like it was trying to fold me in half. Took deep breaths just to feel my lungs expand. Adjusting the straps? Yeah, tried that. Pulled them loose, tighter, looser again. Still felt kinda pinned down. Seriously stiff feeling.
Test Drive = Sweat & Slip
Alright, time for the real deal – my usual three-miler. Started off okay, steps light. But five minutes in? Hello, sweat. Thing got soaked fast, clinging to me like cling wrap. Zero breathing happening for my skin. Felt heavy and gross. Started bouncing – yeah, bounce control? More like bounce suggestion. Every step had things… shifting. Not confidence-inspiring.
Worse? That material rubbing. Felt a scratchy spot right under my left arm around mile one. By mile two? Full-on chafe alert. Tried tugging the fabric, adjusting, nothing worked. Felt like sandpaper grinding away. Finished the run scratching like mad.
Looked down after – sweaty mess. Dark patches everywhere, lines dug into my skin from the band. Felt damp and gross, took ages to peel the wet thing off after peeling myself out of my sweaty tee.
Letting the Bra Breathe… and Disappoint
Threw it straight into the wash after. Cold water, gentle cycle, air-dry like the tag screamed. Hoped maybe it’d loosen up after its first bath.
Nope.
Dried out stiff as cardboard. Put it on again. Still squeezed the life outta my ribs. Adjusting the straps again felt like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Didn’t improve a dang thing.
Tried it once more for a brisk walk. Still sweaty. Still scratchy feeling. Still felt trapped. Just… nope.
Final Nail in the Sweaty Coffin
End of the story? It’s shoved deep in my drawer now. Maybe emergency backup if every single other bra is in the laundry… maybe.
What did I expect? Something comfy, easy to get on and off, and handled my sweaty jogs without rubbing me raw.
What did I get?
- A workout just wrestling into the darn thing
- A rib-cage hugger that hates deep breaths
- A sweat trap that doubles as sandpaper
- Zero bounce control once things get moving
Adidas usually nails it, but this one? Swung and missed hard for me. Looks sleek sitting useless in that drawer though. Shame it can’t do the job.
