2024-25 Fantasy Football Rankings: Top Player Picks & Early Draft Strategy!

Okay, so, I’ve been diving deep into fantasy football prep for the upcoming 2024-25 season. It’s that time of year again – time to start figuring out who I want on my team. I started by just brainstorming, you know, jotting down names of players I liked last season and who I thought might be good this year.

2024-25 Fantasy Football Rankings: Top Player Picks & Early Draft Strategy!

Then, I started digging into some early rankings. I figured, hey, other folks are probably thinking the same things I am, let’s see what they are talking about.

Getting My Hands Dirty with Research

First thing, I opened up my browser. I typed in “2024-25 fantasy football rankings” and hit enter. I found a bunch of articles and lists, some from the big sports sites, some from smaller blogs. It’s always good to get a variety of opinions, right?

I started by reading through a few of the overall rankings, just to get a sense of the top players. Then, I dug into positional rankings. I needed to know who the best quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends are expected to be. I wanted to get a feel for the depth at each position, too. Like, how many good running backs are there? If I miss out on the top few, are there still some solid options later on?

I spent a good chunk of time just reading and comparing different rankings. I made some notes on players that seemed to be consistently ranked high, and also flagged some players that were ranked differently on different sites. Those are the guys I might need to do some more research on.

Building My Own Preliminary Rankings

After all that reading, I felt like I had a pretty good handle on things. I opened up a spreadsheet and started putting together my own rankings. I didn’t just copy what other people said, though. I factored in my own opinions, my gut feelings, and what I know about the teams and players.

I created separate lists for each position, and then I started ranking the players. It took a while, and I kept going back and adjusting things. It’s not an exact science, you know? It’s a lot of educated guesswork.

The Current State of My Rankings (Work in Progress!)

Right now, my rankings are still a work in progress. I’m planning to keep tweaking them as we get closer to the season. I’ll keep an eye on training camp news, preseason games, and any other information that might affect player values.

  • Quarterbacks: I’m leaning towards a couple of the usual suspects at the top, but I’m also intrigued by some of the younger guys who could have breakout seasons.
  • Running Backs: This is always a tough position to predict. Injuries can shake things up so much. I’m trying to find a balance between proven veterans and high-upside rookies.
  • Wide Receivers: There are so many good receivers in the league now. It’s almost harder to find the bad ones! I’m looking for guys who get a lot of targets and have a good connection with their quarterback.
  • Tight Ends: This position is a little thinner than receiver. There are a few elite guys, and then a bunch of players who are more touchdown-dependent.

So yeah, that’s where I’m at with my fantasy football rankings for 2024-25. It’s a long process, but it’s also a lot of fun. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some more research to do!
