Alright, guys, so I’ve been diving deep into fantasy football lately, trying to get a leg up on the competition this year. I wanted to share my process for picking my top players, so here’s how I went about it.

Scouring the Stats
First things first, I started by hitting up all the usual websites. You know, the ones with all the player stats, projections, and rankings. I spent hours just pouring over the numbers, looking for any edge I could find.
I wasn’t just looking at last year’s numbers, though. I also dug into things like offensive line rankings, strength of schedule, and even injury reports. My goal was to get a complete picture of each player’s potential.
Building My Watchlist
After all that research, I started building a watchlist of players that caught my eye. These weren’t necessarily the top-ranked guys, but players I thought had a good chance of outperforming their projections.
- I looked for guys on teams with strong offenses.
- I targeted players who were due for a breakout season.
- I even considered some rookies who were flying under the radar.
Mock, Mock, and Mock Again!
Then came the fun part – mock drafts! I must’ve joined a dozen mock drafts to get a feel for where players were being drafted and to test out different draft strategies. This was super helpful in seeing how my watchlist stacked up against other people’s picks.
Seriously, I can’t stress enough how important mock drafts are. It helped me to get a better strategy when it is in a real draft.
Fine-Tuning My Rankings
Based on the mock drafts, I started tweaking my rankings. I moved some players up, others down, and even added a few new names to the list. It was a constant process of adjusting and refining until I felt like I had a solid list of my top picks.
The Final List (For Now!)
So, after all that work, I’ve got my list. It’s not set in stone, of course – things can change quickly in the NFL – but I feel pretty good about it. I’m not going to give away all my secrets, you just got to do some reserch like me, haha. but let’s just say I’m high on a few guys that others might be sleeping on.
Anyway, that’s my process. It’s a lot of work, but it’s also a lot of fun. And hopefully, it’ll pay off when the season starts! Good luck with your own drafts, everyone!
