Week Fantasy Football Rankings: Simple Guide for Quick Wins!

Alright, guys, so I wanted to get my fantasy football rankings dialed in for this week, and I figured I’d walk you through my whole process. It’s not rocket science, but I’ve found a few things that really help me make some decent start/sit decisions.

Week Fantasy Football Rankings: Simple Guide for Quick Wins!

First Things First: Checking Injuries

First, I pulled up all the injury reports. You gotta know who’s in, who’s out, and who’s gonna be a game-time decision. I can’t stress this enough. Banged-up players can really mess up your week if you’re not careful.

  • Scrolled through all the major sports news sites to get the latest.
  • Checked Twitter– I mean X?– following some of the NFL beat reporters. They’re usually on top of things.
  • Made a quick list of all the questionable guys on my team and my potential waiver wire pickups.

Digging into Matchups

Next, I took a look at the matchups. This is where it gets a little more time-consuming, but it’s super important.

I started looking into who’s playing who. It’s about finding the weak spots. Which defenses give up a ton of passing yards? Which ones are stingy against the run?

For example, I’ve got a wide receiver, and he is playing with the team that gives up to the * looks like a good start!

Trusting My Gut (and Some Stats)

After all that, I basically just go with my gut, I also checked some basic stats like targets, snap counts, and red-zone opportunities from the past few weeks. Those numbers can give you a good sense of who’s actually getting used on the field.

I spent a good couple of hours doing all of this. Made some tweaks to my lineup, and I think I am ready for this week!

Final Rankings (Kind Of)

So, I’m not gonna give you a full list of rankings, that’s just too much. I’ll tell you this, I’m feeling good. I hope I can win this week!

That’s it! That’s how I tackled my weekly fantasy football rankings. Hope this helps some of you out there. Good luck this week, everyone!
