Well, butter my biscuits, let’s yak about this Trinity baseball roster, or whatever they call it. You know, them fancy teams with all them young’uns runnin’ around hittin’ balls.

So, this Trinity bunch, they got a mess of fellas, I reckon. Seen some names, Luke somethin’ or other, Pasca-something. Sounds Italian, maybe? Anyways, he’s a Junior, whatever that means. Guess he ain’t a newbie no more. And they got R/R after his name, means he throws and hits with his right, I’m guessin’. And he’s from Wynantskill. Don’t know where that is, but sounds like a place with a lot of hills, probably gotta chase a lot of balls down them hills.

Now, they got this place, Trinity College. Sounds highfalutin, but I bet they still gotta clean the dirt off them pants same as anyone. And they got this website, where they put all the names and when they’re gonna play ball. Probably got pictures, too, all them boys grinnin’ like they just ate a whole pie.
One of them Trinity places is in San Antonio. Hot down there, I hear. Gotta drink lots of water, or you’ll be sweatin’ like a hog at a barbecue. And another one, Trinity Christian College, is in Palos Heights, Illinois. That’s up north, where them winters get real nasty. Gotta bundle up tight, or your ears’ll freeze right off.
Seems like this Trinity team, wherever they are, they got a coach named Arnold. And he’s got boys playin’ in the big leagues now, draft picks and all. Must be a good coach, teachin’ them how to swing a bat and catch a ball. But it ain’t just about hittin’ and catchin’, you know. Gotta have heart, gotta work hard. That’s what gets you places.
Now, they say they ain’t put the roster up yet. Waitin’ for somethin’, I guess. Probably gotta make sure all the names are spelled right, you know how these young folks are with their fancy spellin’. And they got a phone number, in case you wanna help out. Guess they need someone to bring snacks or somethin’. Feedin’ them boys is important, gotta keep their strength up.
Trinity Tigers, that’s what they call ’em. Like a big cat, pouncin’ on the ball. They play in somethin’ called NCAA Division III. Sounds important. And they got another one, Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. That’s a mouthful. Too many fancy words for an old gal like me.
And this Trinity College, they been around a long time, since 1869. That’s way before my time. Started by a church, they say. Learnin’ and faith and all that. Good things, important things. They teach all sorts of stuff there, not just baseball. Mind and body, they say. Gotta keep both sharp.
Well, that’s about all I know about this Trinity baseball roster. A bunch of names, some places, a coach, and a whole lot of runnin’ around. Sounds like fun, I reckon. Wish I was young enough to join ’em.
