Alright, let’s talk about them Klay Thompson tennis shoes, or whatever them young folks call ’em these days. Sneakers? Basketball shoes? Whatever. I just call ’em shoes, and that boy Klay, he sure got some fancy ones.
So, this Klay fella, plays basketball, shoots the ball real good. He’s got a deal with this company, ANTA. Never heard of it before, but I guess it’s a big deal. They say it’s from China, way across the ocean. Must be makin’ a lot of shoes, ’cause that Klay, he’s sellin’ ’em like hotcakes.
They say he signed a big contract, like, eighty million dollars! Eighty million! Can you imagine? That’s enough money to buy all the shoes in my town, and then some. And he’s supposed to wear them shoes till, what, twenty twenty-seven? That’s a long time to be wearin’ the same kind of shoe. But I guess if they payin’ you that much, you can wear ’em on your head if they want.
And they say he’s sold more than ten million pairs! Ten million! That’s more people than I ever seen in my whole life. Folks must really like them shoes. I don’t know, they look kinda flashy to me, all them colors and whatnot. But I guess that’s what the young folks like these days.
- They got all kinds of ’em too. I saw some pictures online, thanks to my grandson, bless his heart. He showed me all these different colors. Red, blue, black, white, even got some with gold on ’em. Gold! Like you won a prize or somethin’.
- And they got these special ones, the KT8 Platinum they call ’em. Platinum, huh? Sounds fancy. My old pots and pans are probably worth more than that. But hey, if they wanna call ’em platinum, that’s their business.
Now, where do you get these shoes? Well, seems like you can get ’em everywhere these days. My grandson says you can buy ’em online, on something called eBay. He says it’s like a big market, but you don’t gotta leave your house. You just sit there on your behind and clickety-clack on that computer, and next thing you know, the shoes show up at your door. Magic, I tell ya, pure magic.
And he says you can compare prices, too. So you don’t gotta get ripped off, I guess. That’s good, ’cause nobody wants to pay more than they have to. Times are tough, money don’t grow on trees, ya know?
So, if you want them Klay Thompson shoes, you got plenty of options. You can go to a store, if you can find one. Or you can do that online thing, on eBay or whatever. Just be careful, don’t spend all your money on shoes. You still gotta eat, ya know? And you gotta pay your bills. Shoes ain’t gonna put food on the table or keep the lights on.
But I guess if you really like basketball, or if you just wanna look fancy, then go ahead and get yourself a pair. Just remember what I said, don’t go breakin’ the bank over ’em. There’s more important things in life than shoes, even if they are worn by that Klay fella. He seems like a nice boy, though. Shoots the ball real good.
And that ANTA company, they seem to be doin’ alright too. Big company, they say. Sellin’ lots of shoes. Good for them, I guess. Keeps people employed. That’s important. Jobs are important. More important than shoes, that’s for sure.
Anyway, that’s about all I know about them Klay Thompson shoes. Fancy shoes, expensive shoes, popular shoes. If you want ’em, go get ’em. If you don’t, well, that’s fine too. There’s plenty of other shoes in the world. Just find somethin’ comfortable and affordable, and you’ll be alright. That’s what I always say. Comfort and affordable, that’s the key.
