Well, let me tell ya, the basketball games this year at Putnam Science Academy been somethin’ else. The 2023-2024 season sure had its ups and downs, but that’s sports for ya, ain’t it? Lots of folks been talkin’ about them matchups against St. Thomas More, especially the ones where they gave it their all. Now, we ain’t here to sugarcoat nothin’, but there’s no denying they’ve been showin’ what they got out there on that court.

One game I gotta mention is that one on December 12th, 2023. Now, that one didn’t go our way, no sir. Putnam Science was up against St. Thomas More Varsity, and though they fought hard, the score ended up at 68 to 74. Now, that’s a tough one, but I reckon they learned a lot from it, and sometimes you gotta lose to know how to win better next time.
But hey, it ain’t all bad news! Fast forward to a game not too long after that, and Putnam Science sure bounced back strong. On November 16th, 2024, they faced off against St. Thomas More once more, and this time, they was in full swing. Putnam Science came out on top, 98 to 86. A real good win for the team, ya know? Mouhamed Dioubate, bless his heart, he had himself a night, puttin’ up 14 points, grabbin’ 7 rebounds, and blockin’ them shots like nobody’s business. He was all over that court.
It’s always something when you get a team with a coach like Dana Valentine at the helm. That coach ain’t just standin’ on the sideline lookin’ pretty, no sir. He’s got that team playin’ with heart. I heard him speakin’ after that win against St. Thomas More, and he was as proud as a rooster. He was all smiles, talkin’ about how they managed to pull off a 93-86 win. You could tell he was real pleased with how the team executed their plays and kept their heads in the game, especially when things got tight. Ain’t nothin’ like a good ol’ comeback.
But don’t go thinkin’ that was the only game that got folks talkin’. The season was full of these exciting matchups. Putnam Science had some real good games, showin’ off their skills, teamwork, and of course, their grit. It’s not always easy goin’ up against some of these big teams, but every single one of them games had somethin’ to teach.
Lookin’ ahead, you can bet there’s gonna be more games, and some new faces too. They got a fresh bunch of players this year, some folks might even make it all the way up to them big colleges, if they keep it up. Players like Tyshane and Davon Usher are out there givin’ their best every time they step on that court. That’s the kind of effort that keeps the folks comin’ back for more.
Now, as for the schedule, ya might wanna keep an eye on them matchups with St. Thomas More. They ain’t a team to be taken lightly, but I reckon Putnam Science is gonna be ready for whatever comes their way. It’s all about the game, the hustle, and them lessons you learn with every dribble, pass, and shot. So, if you’re lookin’ to keep track of the team’s progress this season, I’d say don’t miss them games against St. Thomas More. They been givin’ us some good showdowns, and who knows what the next one’s gonna bring!
So, there you have it. The 2023-2024 season at Putnam Science Academy’s been a real wild ride so far. Ain’t no tellin’ what’s next, but you can bet we’ll all be watchin’. And if you’re one of them folks that loves a good basketball game, well, you’re in for more excitement as the season rolls on. I’m tellin’ ya, sports don’t get much better than this.
