Yesterday, I decided to give this “Olympus Tennis” thing a shot. I’d seen some stuff about it online, and it looked kinda cool, So, I figured, why not?
First, I dug around for some basic info. I mean, I’m no tennis pro. I needed to know what I was getting myself into. After an hour,I Got the basic idea.
Getting Started
Next up, I grabbed my old racket from the garage. It was dusty, man! I gave it a good wipe-down and checked the strings. They seemed okay, surprisingly. I pumped up a few old tennis balls I found lying around. They weren’t perfect, but hey, they’d bounce, right?
Finding a Court
- I remembered that park down the street.
- Then headed out.
- I walked to there.
Luckily, it was empty! I took a deep breath and stepped onto the court. It felt…bigger than I expected.
Hitting the Ball (or Trying To)
I started by just trying to hit the ball over the net. It was harder than it looked! The ball went everywhere – into the net, over the fence, even straight up in the air a few times. I felt a little silly, but I kept at it.
After a while, I started to get the hang of it. I could actually hit the ball over the net more often than not. I even managed to get a few decent rallies going with myself (yeah, I was playing solo). It was tiring, but kind of fun!
Wrapping Up
I played for about an hour, I guess. By the end, I was sweaty and my arm was starting to ache. But you know what? I felt good. I’d done something new, gotten some exercise, and even had a few laughs at myself.I packed up my stuff and headed home, already thinking about maybe trying it again next week.
So, that was my Olympus Tennis experience. Nothing fancy, just me, a racket, a ball, and a whole lot of trying. Might not be a pro anytime soon, but hey, it was a good * I finished it!
