Alright, folks, let’s dive into my little adventure with the NFL Fantasy Football Top 200 list. I gotta say, I’ve always been a “gut feeling” kind of guy when it comes to fantasy football, but this year, I decided to, you know, actually try to be a bit more organized.

So, first things first, I grabbed a pen and a big ol’ sheet of paper. Yeah, yeah, I know, super high-tech. But hey, it works for me! I started by jotting down the names of players I already knew I wanted on my team. You know, the obvious superstars, the guys who always seem to put up monster numbers.
Getting Down to Business
Next, I opened up my laptop and started looking at some of those “expert” Top 200 lists. There are a ton of them out there, and honestly, it can be pretty overwhelming. I looked at maybe four or five different ones, just to get a general idea of where players were ranked.
I didn’t just blindly copy those lists, though. I used them as a starting point, then started making my own adjustments. For example, I saw one list that had a certain running back ranked way higher than I thought he should be, based on his injury history. So, I bumped him down a few spots on my list.
The Nitty-Gritty
- Comparing Lists: I spent a good chunk of time just comparing the different rankings, looking for any major discrepancies.
- My Own Gut Feeling: I kept going back to my original list, making sure my “must-have” players were still high up.
- Positional Needs:Then started thinking about the different positions. I mean how many RBs, WRs QBs and so on do I really need.
- Research: I spent some time researching how the teams performed last seasons.
- Re-Ranking: Based on research and analysis, I started the job of re-ranking.
Making It My Own
After a few hours of tinkering, I finally had a Top 200 list that I felt pretty good about. It wasn’t perfect, of course, but it was mine. It reflected my own opinions, my own research, and my own (sometimes questionable) gut feelings.
I guess the main thing I learned from this whole process is that there’s no “magic formula” for fantasy football success. You can read all the expert analysis you want, but at the end of the day, it’s about making your own informed decisions and hoping for the best. And, you know, maybe having a little fun along the way. Now it’s time to see if my list making efforts get me somewhere!
