Well, hello there! Today, let’s gab a bit about this… uh… “mine-craft basket-ball mod,” or whatever them youngsters call it. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I’ll tell ya what I know. It’s somethin’ about addin’ basketball to that there Minecraft game. Kids these days, always fiddlin’ with their computin’ machines.
Now, from what I gather, this here mod lets ya play basketball in the game. No more usin’ spiderwebs for hoops, they say! Imagine that! These young’uns got all sorts of fancy tricks up their sleeves. They got courts and all, different ones for different sports, so I hear. Sounds like a whole lot of fuss to me, but if it keeps ’em outta trouble, I ain’t complainin’.
They say you gotta get this “Forge” thingamajig first. Sounds like some kind of tool you need for the job, like a hammer for buildin’ a fence. This here “Forge” is free, they say. That’s good, ’cause I don’t believe in payin’ for things ya don’t need. And then, you gotta get the mod itself, this “Basket” thing. It’s got numbers and all, like them prices at the grocery store – 1.0.0 they call it. And it works with that “Fabric” thingy, whatever that is, on version 1.20.1. Don’t ask me what all that means, sounds like gibberish to me.
- First, get that “Forge.”
- Then, find this “Basket 1.0.0” thing.
- Make sure it works with that “Fabric 1.20.1.” Lord have mercy.
Once you got all that mess downloaded, ya gotta open up the game with that “Forge” thing. Then ya gotta click on a button that says “mods.” Now, I reckon even I could find that. It’s right there on the main screen, they say. After that, ya gotta find another button, way down in the corner, they say, to open up some kind of folder. That’s where you gotta put that “Basket” mod. It’s like puttin’ biscuits in the oven, I guess. Gotta put ‘em in the right place for ‘em to bake.
Now, they did warn that this here mod might be a bit wonky at first. They call it “alpha” or somethin’, which means it might mess up on ya. Just like that old tractor of mine, sometimes it starts, sometimes it don’t. But that’s the way things are with these newfangled contraptions. Always fiddlin’ and tweakin’, they are.
This mod, so I hear, it’s for the “Java Edition” on the computer. That’s the one they say is best for addin’ things. Seems like there are different versions of that there Minecraft game. Too many if you ask me. Back in my day, a game was a game, no need for all these fancy versions.
And wouldn’t you know it, they released this here basket thing on December 23rd, just before that Christmas time. Guess them youngsters had somethin’ to play with durin’ their break from school. Kids these days, always lookin’ for somethin’ new. Why, when I was young, we made our own fun. We played outside, you know, with sticks and rocks. We didn’t need no computer games to keep us entertained.
Anyways, that’s about all I know about this here “mine-craft basket-ball mod.” It lets ya play basketball in the game, you need that “Forge” thing, and that “Basket” mod, and ya gotta put it in the right folder. And it might be a bit buggy. Simple as that. Now if you’ll excuse me, I got some chores to do. These young’uns and their games, I swear.
