Well, bless my soul, you won’t believe what I heard! That big ol’ jumbotron, you know, that giant TV thing they got at them football games, it came crashing down! Right there on the football field. Can you imagine?

I heard it happened at one of them big stadiums. They say those things are as big as a house. Imagine that thing falling from the sky. Lord have mercy! I reckon it made a right loud noise when it hit the ground. Probably scared the bejeezus out of everyone nearby.
I remember back in my day, we didn’t have none of them fancy jumbotrons. We just watched the game and hollered at the players. We didn’t need no big screen to tell us what was going on. But I guess times are changing, huh? Everything’s getting bigger and fancier these days, even the screens at the football field.
They say nobody got hurt, thank the good Lord. But imagine if someone had been standing under that thing when it fell! It’d be flatter than a pancake. They’d be singing with the angels, that’s for sure. Those jumbotron things must weigh a ton. All that metal and wires and whatnot. It’s a wonder they stay up there in the first place. These things must be very heavy.
- They use these at them football fields
- Big screen TV, they call it a jumbotron
- Weighs more than a herd of cows
- Fell right down in the middle of the game
- Nobody got hurt, thank the Lord
I heard some folks saying it happened during a game. Can you believe that? One minute you’re watching the game, cheering for your team, and the next minute, that giant jumbotron is coming down like a meteor! It’s enough to make you jump out of your skin. And it’s enough to make you think twice about sitting near one of them things. I’d be sticking to the cheap seats, far away from that jumbotron, if I were them.
And those poor players! They must have gotten the fright of their lives. Imagine running down the football field, trying to catch the ball, and then seeing that jumbotron falling from the sky. It’s enough to make you forget all about the game and start running for your life! Those boys are lucky to be alive.
Now they say this ain’t the first time a jumbotron has fallen. Seems like it happened before, somewhere else. You’d think they’d learn their lesson and make sure those things are bolted down tight. But I guess some folks just don’t learn. Or maybe they just don’t care. As long as they got their big fancy jumbotron, they don’t care who gets hurt.
Well, I reckon they’ll have to fix it now. Can’t have a football field without a jumbotron, I suppose. It’s like having a church without a steeple. It just ain’t right. But they better make sure it’s safe this time. They don’t want nobody getting squashed by a falling TV, do they? I don’t care how big and fancy it is, that jumbotron ain’t worth a life.
I hope they check all the other jumbotrons at them other football fields, too. You never know when one of them things might decide to take a tumble. It’s like them old cars. You gotta keep them maintained, or they’ll break down on you when you least expect it. And a falling jumbotron is a lot worse than a broken-down car, let me tell you.
Well, I guess that’s all I know about that falling jumbotron. It’s a crazy world we live in, ain’t it? You just never know what’s going to happen next. One minute you’re watching a football game, and the next minute you’re running for your life from a falling TV. It’s enough to make your head spin. And it’s enough to make you appreciate the simple things in life. Like sitting on your porch, watching the sunset, and not having to worry about no giant jumbotrons falling on your head.
I just hope nobody was taking a nap under that thing. Could you imagine waking up to that? It’d be a rude awakening, that’s for sure. Probably give you a heart attack right then and there. And then you wouldn’t need to worry about the jumbotron no more, ’cause you’d be pushing up daisies. These new things are dangerous. Hope they will be careful when they play football.
But like I said, nobody got hurt, so I guess that’s something to be thankful for. Still, it’s a reminder that you gotta be careful in this world. You never know what’s gonna fall out of the sky next. Could be a jumbotron, could be a meteor, could be a flock of geese. You just never know. Always be careful on the football field.
