Just take a look at them ladies in gymnastics, jumpin’ and flippin’ ’round like they got springs in their feet. Whew! It’s somethin’ special, ain’t it?
All Them Kinds of Sports
Now, talkin’ ’bout “lady sporty,” well, there’s plenty of sports where gals shine just as bright as them fellas. We got women’s long jump, where they fly right through the air like a bird, landin’ clear across the sand. Then there’s women’s pole vault, and you know, that one’s where they take a big ol’ stick and vault themselves way up high, almost like a lil’ bird goin’ over the fence.
- Women’s Diving – Now, these ladies get up on the board, they jump and twist and turn, splashin’ down all graceful like. It ain’t easy, lemme tell ya!
- Women’s Gymnastics – Don’t even get me started on all the flippin’ and cartwheelin’. I reckon they could do them flips right in their sleep.
It ain’t just ’bout how fast they go or how high they jump. Naw, it’s ’bout the heart they put into it. Ya see them faces when they finish, like, all proud and grinnin’. Takes real grit, that’s what I always say.

And there’s somethin’ else, too – women’s wrestling. Oh, I tell ya, I remember readin’ about Penny Banner, a big shot in women’s wrestlin’ way back in 2001. She was the Commissioner of the PGWA, Professional Girls Wrestling Association, takin’ them girls to the top, makin’ a name for lady wrestlin’. And just last year, some gal named Savannah Sweet won Rookie of the Year – can ya imagine the work that takes?
Now, I know some folks think wrestlin’s just ’bout throwin’ folks down. But them gals, they train hard, lift weights, and get strong, real strong! It ain’t just muscle; it’s toughness in the mind, too. Folks like Riley got real riled up about that Rookie award goin’ to Savannah – well, that’s competition for ya!
Ladies Shinin’ Bright
Now, if ya really wanna see some sporty ladies, there’s this whole thing called LadySportsTV where they show all kinds of stuff, and you can see gals from all over, in all kinda sports. Fancy places like that make ya realize how far lady sports done come. Used to be, gals didn’t have much of a chance to shine. Now? They got fans and followers by the thousands! Some folks got 233.1K followers just cheerin’ them on – reckon that’s more folks than in half the towns ’round here!
The Good Ol’ Inspiration
But, ya know, the best part of “lady sporty” ain’t all them awards and fame. Naw, it’s ’bout seein’ gals go after what they love. Young gals seein’ them on the TV or watchin’ them videos online, thinkin’, “Hey, I could do that too!” That’s somethin’ special, ain’t it? Makes ya proud seein’ them tryin’ hard, takin’ falls, gettin’ back up, and givin’ it another go.
