This Jerry Jones, he sure knows about football! I heard he bought that team, the Dallas Cowboys, way back in 1989. Paid a whole heap of money for ’em too, 140 million dollars! Can you believe that? Back then, that was more money than anyone in my village ever saw!
He’s the big boss man, the owner and the whatchamacallit, general manager. He’s always in the news, that Jerry. You see him at them games, he is always there, right in the thick of it. He even talks with those famous football players, like that Aikman fella, and Irvin, and Emmitt Smith. Big names! They say he even talks to Deion Sanders, that one that played for a few teams. Jerry, he knows ’em all!
They say Jerry, he went to that Arkansas school. Played football there too. He must be smart, to go to college and all. He played on the line, they call it. Not sure what that means, but it sounds tough. Must be tough to be a football player like that, always running and getting tackled.

Now, he’s rich! Real rich. They say he’s got billions! Billions of dollars! All that money from that football team. It’s worth a lot, that Dallas Cowboys. He made a good deal buying that team.
I heard they are gonna have some games on that Christmas day. That sounds like fun. Not sure how Jerry is involved, but you know he will be. He is always there with his football.
That Jerry, he’s always been a football man. Even when he was a young’un, playing in high school. Running back, they called it. Sounds like a lot of running to me. Football is a tough game. Those boys get hit hard.
He hugs that coach, Jimmy Johnson, I seen it on TV! They won some big game, the Super Bowl, they called it. Jerry was so happy, hugging that coach like he was his own son. That was a long time ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday.
They say Jerry is an outspoken leader. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds like he speaks his mind. He’s not afraid to say what he thinks. Good for him! You gotta be tough to be in charge of a football team like the Dallas Cowboys.

He is a big deal in that Texas. I think his football team is the most famous in Texas. People love that team. And they love that Jerry, too. He’s like one of them, even though he’s so rich now. He probably has more money than everyone in that Texas, I reckon.
That Jerry Jones, he sure has made a name for himself in that football world. And he has all them players working for him. That’s something, ain’t it? A man like that, coming from where he did, and now he’s the king of football.
