Well, let me tell you ’bout this young fella, Darren Watkins Jr., or as the youngins call him, IShowSpeed. Folks say he was a real hotshot football player back in high school, a real five-star fella, you know? Big schools like Ohio State and Michigan State, they wanted him bad. But this boy, he didn’t much care for school. Said it took up too much of his time. Can you believe that? Kids these days!
He started messing around on that YouTube thing, makin’ videos and whatnot. Started way back in 2016, just a youngin’ then. But it wasn’t till 2021 that folks really started payin’ attention. Why? ‘Cause he was loud and wild, that’s why! Got himself in trouble a few times, even got kicked off that Twitch thing and some game, Valor-somethin’ or other.
Now, you’d think a football star would stick to football, right? Nope, not this fella. He went and joined up with some soccer team over in Italy, A.C. Milan they call it. Met some big shot player, Zlatan something. But don’t you go thinkin’ he’s gonna be playin’ no games. He just signed a contract, probably just for show. Kids these days, always chasin’ after somethin’ new.

Heard tell he’s from Cincinnati, Ohio, born in January, the 21st I think. Folks online, they like to gossip about his life, his money, all sorts of things. You can find it all if you know where to look, they say. It’s all there, his “biography,” his “personality,” his “lifestyle,” whatever all that means. Kids these days and their fancy words.
Now, there’s talk of another Watkins boy, Winston Watkins Jr. He’s a real good football player too, a wide receiver. Folks are sayin’ he’s a five-star just like Darren. And guess what? He went and joined up with that fella Deion Sanders down in Colorado. Deion, he used to be a real good player himself, now he’s coachin’. This Winston boy, he’s got talent, they say. A championship mindset, whatever that is.
Then there’s Sammy Watkins, another football player with that name. They say he’s got good hands, real reliable. Runs fast and knows how to get open. Played for some college team, Alabama at Birmingham, I think. And then he went on to play in the National Football League, the NFL. That’s the big leagues, you know? They draft players and all that. Lots of talkin’ and analyzin’ those players, just like they do with cows at the market.
This Winston Watkins Jr., he’s still young, just in the class of 2025. He played a game against some team, LaBelle I think it was called. Folks are always watchin’ these young fellas, seein’ if they’re gonna be the next big thing. It’s a whole lot of fuss if you ask me. But that’s how it is with football, always lookin’ for the next star.
So you got Darren, the YouTuber who used to play football. You got Winston, the young star goin’ to Colorado. And you got Sammy, the NFL fella. All these Watkins boys, makin’ a name for themselves in football, one way or another. It’s a funny thing, how life works out. You never know where these youngins will end up.
