Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this fantasy football thing for a while, and I gotta say, figuring out who the top dogs are each week is a real head-scratcher. So, I decided to get a little more organized about it.

My DIY Fantasy Football Leader Tracker
First, I grabbed a big ol’ whiteboard. Nothing fancy, just something I could scribble on and easily update. You could totally do this on a piece of paper or even a spreadsheet on your computer, but I like being able to see it all laid out in front of me.
Then, I divided the board into sections for each position: Quarterbacks, Running Backs, Wide Receivers, Tight Ends, Kickers, and even Defense/Special Teams. I figured, if I’m gonna do this, might as well go all in, right?
Next up, the tedious part: gathering the stats. I spent a good chunk of time flipping between websites, you know the usual suspects, copying down the key numbers for each player. I mainly focused on yards, touchdowns, and any big plays. For kickers, it was all about field goals and extra points. And for defenses, I looked at sacks, interceptions, and fumbles recovered.
Once I had all that data jotted down, I started ranking the players in each category. I kept it pretty simple, just ordering them from most points to least. No complicated formulas or anything, just straight-up who’s performing the best.
- Top 5 QBs: Mostly the usual suspects, but there were a couple of surprises in there!
- RB studs: A few guys really separated themselves from the pack this week.
- WR leaders: Touchdowns were the name of the game here.
- Best TE:One guy is leading the way.
- Kicking Kings: All about those long field goals.
- D/ST Dominators: One team defense had a real stand out with a few other teams right in their tail.
Finally, I stepped back and took a look at the whole picture. It’s kinda cool to see it all laid out like that. It definitely gives you a better sense of who’s really crushing it and who might be worth picking up for your own fantasy team.
It’s a bit of work, sure, but I found it kinda fun, like being a real-life football analyst or something. Plus, it’s already helped me make a few smarter decisions in my league. So, if you’re looking for a way to get a little more serious about fantasy football, give this a try. It might just give you the edge you need!
