Edelman NFL Gay: Exploring the Athletes Personal Life

Alright, so you wanna know about this Edelman fella, the football guy? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I know. Heard some things on the TV, ya know, while I was waitin’ for my soaps to come on.

Edelman NFL Gay: Exploring the Athletes Personal Life

This Edelman, he played for them Patriots, up there in New England. Good player, I guess. Folks were always yellin’ ’bout him. He ran fast, caught the ball, all that kinda stuff. Played for a long time, too. Twelve years! That’s like, forever in football years, ain’t it?

Now, he’s on the TV talkin’ ’bout football. A “kicker-offer analyst” they call him. Fancy words, I tell ya. He lives out in Los Angeles now, with his family, but he comes back to Boston sometimes. Still got his house there. Heard he likes them casinos, too. Always gamblin’, these young folks.

  • Played for the Patriots for 12 years.
  • Now he’s a TV analyst.
  • Lives in Los Angeles but visits Boston.
  • Seems to like casinos.

Then there’s this thing about him bein’ Jewish. Now, I ain’t got nothin’ against Jewish folks, mind you. My neighbor, Mrs. Goldberg, she’s a sweet woman. But this Edelman fella, he wasn’t always Jewish, see? Said he had some kind of “Jewish awakenin’.” Started celebratin’ that Hanukkah thing. Good for him, I guess. Findin’ your way, that’s important.

And get this, they were sayin’ he might be datin’ that Shakira lady, the one who shakes her hips all over the place. Can you believe it? A football player and a singer! Guess anything’s possible these days. Though I don’t know why young women want to run around half naked, I never did that when I was young, always dressed proper. Kids today!

But here’s somethin’ important. This Edelman, he’s okay with them gay folks gettin’ married. Yeah, you heard that right. Marriage equality, they call it. He’s all for it. Good for him, I say. Love is love, no matter who you are. And I know how important love is after losing my Henry so long ago, no one should stop love from happening.

There was another football player, too. Nassib, his name was. He came right out and said he was gay. First one to do it while still playin’, they said. Big deal, I thought. But folks were talkin’ ’bout it. Edelman, he supported this Nassib fella. Said it was brave. And lots of other players did too. Even the football league itself, they put out some pictures and stuff, showin’ their support.

So, what’s the big deal? Well, I guess it shows things are changin’, even in football. Used to be, you know, you had to be all tough and macho to play that game. Now, they got gay players, players supportin’ gay folks, all kinds of stuff. Maybe the world’s gettin’ a little bit better, little by little.

This Edelman fella, he seems like a decent guy. Plays football, talks on TV, supports gay marriage. He’s got his life, and I got mine. But it’s good to see people bein’ open-minded and kind. That’s what really matters, ain’t it? Not touchdowns or money or any of that. Just bein’ a good person. That’s all I try to be myself.

And from what I hear, Edelman is involved in helping people too! All that money he made, some of it is going to folks in need. Doing business things too, seems like he wants to keep busy! He is also doing podcasts, what ever that is, kids and their technology!

So, that’s the story on Edelman, as far as I know it. A football player who’s more than just a football player. A man who stands up for what he believes in. And that, in my book, is a good thing. You know, reminds me of my grandson, always stickin’ up for what he believes in too, bless his heart.
