Now, I ain’t good with all them rules, but what I do know is that it’s about hittin’ balls, runnin’ ’round them bases, and havin’ a good ol’ time with your friends and family watchin’.
In 2024, the SCYBL got a whole new set of rules, but don’t ask me to tell you all them specifics. I reckon they just wanna make sure the young ones don’t hurt themselves, and they make it fair for everyone. Now, if you’re lookin’ to sign your kid up, you gotta make sure you got yourself logged into your account, and if you ain’t sure what to do, there’s always someone who can help ya out.
Now, I remember not too long ago, the South Central baseball team had themselves a tough road. They had to travel far and wide, playin’ all them road games, just to get to the regional finals. And let me tell ya, them boys didn’t give up. They swept Terry Sanford in two games to make it all the way to the state finals. Mighty proud moment for the team, that’s for sure! If I was young again, I’d be out there with ‘em, runnin’ bases and yellin’ out for ‘em to do their best!
What makes South Central baseball so special?

- Get ready for some travelin’—you gotta go to different fields, sometimes pretty far out.
- Always cheer ‘em on—win or lose, they give it their all.
And if you’re wonderin’ if there’s a chance to watch some big games or see some of the players who might make it to the bigger leagues, well, let me tell ya—there’s always a chance. Ain’t no harm in dreamin’, and some of them young ones, they sure got the talent to go far. You know, I heard somethin’ ‘bout the team playin’ in bigger matches, but I ain’t sure where or when. I’ll leave that to the folks who keep track of all the schedules and such.

Usually, they’s got a list of who to call for questions. And if you need to get to the field, there’s always a map or directions to help you out. Just make sure you’re ready to support them kiddos when the big game day comes!
