Alright, let’s talk about them women’s sports polos, you know, them shirts with the little collars. I seen ’em at the store the other day, all sorts of colors, like a rainbow exploded or somethin’.

First off, where you gonna wear these things? Well, I reckon you can wear ’em pretty much anywhere. See some gals wearin’ ’em to play that golf game, whacking that little ball around. Others wear ’em just to go to the store, or to visit with their neighbors. They look kinda comfy, I gotta say.
Now, these shirts, they ain’t all the same, no sirree. Some are made of that thick cotton stuff, feels kinda heavy, like a good towel. Others are made of that slinky material, the kind that dries real quick if you get sweaty. I guess it depends on what you’re doin’ in ’em.
Where to buy ’em, you ask? Well, there’s that big store, Dick’s somethin’ or other, they got a whole bunch of ’em. And that Nike place, they got them too, but they always got them fancy prices, you know? I hear you can even get ’em on that Amazon thing, the one where they send stuff right to your door. Handy, I guess, if you don’t wanna go out.
One thing I noticed, and this is kinda funny, is how them buttons are different on men’s and women’s shirts. On the men’s, the buttons are on the right, but on the women’s, they’re on the left. Go figure! Someone told me it’s been like that forever, somethin’ to do with how they used to dress back in the old days. Fancy folks, I tell ya.
- Thick cotton polos: Good for cooler days or if you want somethin’ sturdy.
- Slinky material polos: Good for when you’re gonna be movin’ around a lot or if it’s hot outside.
Them polo shirts, they started out with them folks playin’ that horse game, polo, I think it’s called. Rich folks ridin’ around on horses, hittin’ a ball. But now, everyone wears ’em. Even my granddaughter, she’s got a couple. She says they’re “fashionable” now. Kids these days, always with their fancy words.
Now, about them prices. Some of these shirts, they cost a pretty penny, let me tell you. I seen some that were more than I pay for a whole week’s worth of groceries! They say it’s ’cause of the fancy brands, or ’cause they made ’em special, with little pictures or somethin’. And some of ’em are just expensive ’cause they can be, I reckon.
How to make ’em look girly? Well, my granddaughter, she likes to wear hers with little necklaces or bracelets. Sometimes she ties a scarf around her neck, makes it look kinda fancy. I seen some gals wearin’ ’em with skirts, some with pants. I guess you can wear ’em however you want, that’s the beauty of it.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a comfy shirt, somethin’ you can wear to play sports or just to run errands, a women’s sports polo might be just the thing. Just be sure to shop around, find a good price, and don’t let them fancy stores fool you into spendin’ more than you gotta. And remember, them buttons go on the left! At least for us gals.
And if you find one that fits good and feels good, well, that’s all that matters, ain’t it? Don’t need no fancy labels or high prices to look presentable. Just a good, clean shirt and a smile, that’s what I always say.
Some of these polos have got little pockets too, for your keys or your phone, I guess. Handy if you’re out and about and need somewhere to stash your things. But then again, sometimes that just makes the shirt feel bulky, you know? It’s a trade-off, I reckon.
And don’t even get me started on the washing. Some of these things, you gotta wash ’em special, or they’ll shrink up so small, you could give ’em to a doll. Always read the tag, that’s what I do. Ain’t got time to be wastin’ money on shirts that won’t last.
Anyways, that’s about all I know about women’s sports polos. They’re shirts, they got collars, and they come in all sorts of colors and prices. Go find one that you like and wear it proud, I say! There’s enough choices out there for everyone, that’s for sure.
