Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Utah football line, you know, the one them fellers be playin’ on the field. Football, it ain’t like it used to be, all these youngins runnin’ around, gettin’ hurt left and right.
Them Boys Getting’ Hurt
Seems like every time I turn on the TV, some fella on that Utah team is gettin’ carried off. I heard tell they got a whole bunch of ’em hurt, some real bad. This Cam Rising fella, the quarterback, he’s been out. And that Brant Kuithe, the tight end, he’s been missin’ too. Poor boy, been through a lot, they say. Coach Whittingham, he’s a good man, but he’s gotta be pullin’ his hair out with all these injuries.

- Brant Kuithe – Tight end, poor fella got hurt bad.
- Brandon Rose – Quarterback, young fella just started, now he’s done for the year.
- Jonah Elliss – Defensive end, another one missin’. They say he’s important.
And it ain’t just them, there’s a whole slew of others, season-endin’ injuries they call ’em. Means they ain’t comin’ back this year. Lordy, that’s a lot of hurtin’ boys. Makes it hard to win games when your best players ain’t playin’, I tell ya what.
This Week’s Game
Now, they’re playin’ someone this week, Arizona State, they say. And before that, they went all the way to Texas to play some other team. Travelin’ all over the place, these boys do. I hope they’re gettin’ enough rest, what with all the games and the travelin’ and the gettin’ hurt. And that young Brandon Rose, he just got his chance to play, and now he’s hurt too. Lower leg thing, they say. Needs surgery. Poor kid, just startin’ out.
Coach Whittingham’s Troubles
Coach Whittingham, he announced it himself. Said it was “unfortunate news.” You can bet it is. He’s gotta figure out how to win games with all these boys sittin’ on the bench. It ain’t easy, lemme tell ya. They were missin’ players against Arizona, too. And even before that, in the first two games, they had fellers gettin’ hurt. It’s like a plague, this injury thing.
Spring Practice and Such
They even had a “significant injury” durin’ spring practice. Spring practice! That’s when they’re supposed to be gettin’ ready, not gettin’ hurt. And they was talkin’ ’bout Cam Risin’ then too, wonderin’ when he’d be back. Still ain’t back, far as I know. This football, it’s a rough game, that’s for sure.
Keepin’ Up with the Utes
People are always talkin’ ’bout the Utes, that’s what they call the Utah team. Bleacher Report, they got all the news, they say. Highlights and whatnots. I don’t know much about that Bleacher Report, but folks seem to like it. Me, I just watch the games when I can, and hope them boys don’t get hurt no more.
It’s a Tough Game
So, this Utah football line, it’s a tough one, I reckon. Lots of injuries, lots of young fellas gettin’ hurt. Makes it hard to win games, but they keep on playin’. Gotta admire ’em for that, even if I don’t always understand what’s goin’ on. It’s just a game, but it means a lot to these boys, and to the folks who watch ’em. I just hope they can stay healthy, that’s all. And maybe win a few games along the way.
Injuries Impacting College Football
College football, not just Utah, all them boys get hurtin’. It’s a tough game, I say it again, lots of runnin’ and hittin’. You gotta be strong and lucky to make it through a season without gettin’ banged up. They should wear more padding, if you ask me. Protect them young fellas. But nobody ever asks me, that’s for sure. They just keep playin’ and gettin’ hurt.

It’s important to stay informed, know what’s goin’ on with the team, who’s healthy and who ain’t. You can check the reports, like they say, but sometimes it’s hard to keep up.
