Well, let me tell ya ’bout this young fella, Brady Holliday, plays baseball, he does. Seems like everyone’s talkin’ ’bout him, so I figured I’d chime in too.

Brady Holliday, the Baseball Whiz Kid
First off, this boy, Brady, he’s playin’ for Stillwater. They got a whole bunch of teams, ya know? Varsity, JV Blue, JV Gold… sounds like a rainbow of baseball teams! Brady’s on the roster, that’s for sure. They even got tryouts and youth programs, so I guess they’re startin’ ’em young these days. He’s been added to the roster for 2024 and 2025. Keeps him busy, I reckon.
Now, I hear tell this Brady’s a real good hitter. They say he’s a “leadoff hitter,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy, huh? Guess he’s the first one up to bat, tryin’ to get on base. And seems like he’s doin’ a darn good job of it too, ’cause they put him in the “Top 10,” movin’ all the way up to number 9. That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Must be swingin’ that bat like a windmill in a tornado.
- He plays for Stillwater High School.
- He’s considered a top player, in the Top 10.
- He’s a leadoff hitter.
And wouldn’t you know it, this boy comes from a baseball family. His daddy, Josh Holliday, he was drafted by the Minnesota Twins way back when, but never played in the big leagues, so they say. Josh, he’s got a brother, Matt Holliday, now *he* was a big-time player, a real All-Star, seven times over! Matt’s got a bunch of kids, and one of ’em, Jackson, is Brady’s cousin. And wouldn’t you believe it, Jackson’s playin’ ball too, and gettin’ ready for the big leagues! Small world, huh?
Seems like baseball runs in their blood, like a bad case of the sniffles in winter. Brady, Jackson, and another one of Matt’s boys, Ethan, they all play together on that Stillwater team. Imagine that, three cousins all on the same team! Must be some lively dinner conversations at their house, all about bats and balls and whatnot.
They even say Brady grew up playin’ whiffle ball with his cousin Jackson, the one who’s goin’ to the big leagues. Whiffle ball, that’s like baseball, but with a plastic ball, you know? The kind you can play in the backyard without breakin’ all the windows. Guess that’s how they learned to swing those bats so good.
A Family Affair
So, you got Brady, his daddy Josh, his uncle Matt, and his cousin Jackson, all playin’ or played baseball. It’s like a whole family reunion on the baseball field! And they got another player they compare Brady to, Singer, played for the Florida Gators, won all sorts of awards, and got drafted in the first round. High praise, that is. Means Brady’s got some big shoes to fill, or maybe some big cleats to wear, I should say.
This whole baseball thing, it’s more than just a game to these folks, it’s a way of life. From whiffle ball in the backyard to high school games, and maybe even the big leagues someday, they’re all in it together. And Brady, well, he’s right in the thick of it, makin’ a name for himself. He plays hard, I hear, real hard, and that’s all you can ask for from a young fella, ain’t it?
Now, I don’t know much about all the fancy baseball talk, all them stats and numbers and such. But I know a good player when I see one, or hear about one, I guess. And this Brady Holliday, he sounds like a good one. So, if you’re lookin’ for a young fella to keep an eye on, this Brady’s your man. He’s got the bloodlines, he’s got the talent, and he’s got the drive. Who knows, maybe someday we’ll all be watchin’ him on TV, swingin’ for the fences in the big leagues.
And that’s all I gotta say ’bout that. Just a young fella playin’ baseball, makin’ his family proud and maybe someday, makin’ a whole lot more folks proud too.
