Best 2024 Fantasy Football Rankings Sheet: Top Players Ranked!

Alright, let’s dive into how I put together my 2024 fantasy football rankings sheet. It wasn’t too complicated, but it definitely took some time and effort.

Best 2024 Fantasy Football Rankings Sheet: Top Players Ranked!

Getting Started

First, I decided what kind of league I was prepping for. Standard? PPR? Half-PPR? Superflex? This is super important because it changes player values a ton. I’m mostly in PPR leagues, so that’s what I focused on.

Gathering the Data

Next, I started pulling in rankings from different sources. You know, the usual suspects. I like to see what a bunch of different “experts” are saying. I grabbed their overall rankings and their positional rankings (QB, RB, WR, TE, K, DEF).

Making it My Own

Then comes the fun part – making it my own! I didn’t just want to copy and paste some other list. So, I started tweaking things. I factored in things like:

  • My own gut feelings: Yeah, sometimes you just gotta trust your gut.
  • Player news and injuries: Gotta stay up-to-date on who’s healthy and who’s not.
  • Team situations: Is a player on a good offense? Do they have a good quarterback?
  • Consistency vs. upside: Do I want a guy who’s gonna get me 10 points every week, or a guy who might get me 20 one week and 5 the next?

Putting it all Together

I used a simple spreadsheet to organize it. I’ve got columns for:

  • Player Name
  • Position
  • Team
  • Average Ranking (from those expert sources)
  • My Ranking
  • Notes (anything I want to remember, like “injury concern” or “breakout candidate”)

The average rank columns make it easy to track any player movement among expert sources. If someone is rising fast you want to make sure you get that player during your draft before anyone else notices.

Keeping it Updated

The key thing is, this isn’t a one-and-done deal. I keep updating this sheet throughout the preseason. News breaks, players get hurt, depth charts change… it all affects the rankings. So I’m constantly tweaking and adjusting.

And then during my draft I use VBD, value based drafting. It helps you know what players are better at what draft rounds. You input how many people at each position, and the system will estimate how many points each player will likely score. Then it tells you who the best player is at each round, accounting for their replaceability.

It’s a bit of a process, but having a customized rankings sheet that I really believe in gives me a huge edge on draft day. I just get the rankings, and customize them myself. Good luck and have fun!
