Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about them tennis shoes that young Alcaraz fella wears. Folks keep askin’, “What kind he got on them feet?” It’s all the rage, ya know. Like when them city slickers started wearin’ them ripped jeans, everyone wanted a pair. Same thing with these here shoes.
So, from what I hear, that boy, he likes them Nike shoes. Yeah, that swoosh thingy. He ain’t wearin’ no beat-up hand-me-downs, that’s for sure. They say he’s got some fancy kind, custom made, even. Sounds like somethin’ a rich fella would do, spendin’ all that money on shoes. But hey, if you’re good at hittin’ that fuzzy ball, I guess you can do what ya want.
They call ’em somethin’ or other… Nike Zoom Vapor Pro, I think. Sounds like a spaceship, don’t it? And then there’s this other one, Nike Zoom Vapor 11. All them numbers and letters, makes my head spin. Seems like they change the names faster than the weather around here. One day it’s sunny, next day it’s rainin’ cats and dogs, and then the next day they got a new shoe out.
Now, some folks say he also wears a mix of them two, a custom jobber with bits and pieces from both. Imagine that! Like takin’ a piece of this and a piece of that, and makin’ somethin’ new. Kinda like when I make a quilt, but for your feet instead of your bed.

Speaking of shoes, I heard tell that this Alcaraz boy is gonna have some new custom Nikes for 2024. Always somethin’ new with these young folks. Can’t just stick with one thing, gotta have the latest and greatest. Reminds me of my grandson, always wantin’ the newest video games. These shoes probably cost about as much as a new tractor, I betcha.

It’s hard not to hear when they go on and on about him. He’s like a rooster crowing in the morning, everybody knows he’s there. Now go on and get yourself some shoes, or don’t. Makes no difference to me. I’ll stick to my comfy slippers.
