Alright, so you wanna know about this… basketball… backdrop thing, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t as complicated as them city folks make it out to be. It’s just a thing… you know, a… a… board, kinda, behind the basketball hoop. Like, when you watch them fellas playin’ on TV, that’s what it is.

They come in all sorts of colors too. I seen red ones, blue ones, even black ones. I guess it don’t matter much what color it is, long as it’s there. Some of them backdrops got pictures on ‘em. Like, fancy designs, or maybe a picture of a team mascot. City folks, they like to make things all pretty and stuff.
- It’s gotta be sturdy, that’s for sure. Can’t have it fallin’ apart every time the ball hits it.
- And it’s gotta be big enough, too. Big enough to catch them wild shots.
- And it’s gotta be smooth, so the ball bounces right.
You can even buy these backdrops, I hear. They sell ‘em online, and in them big stores. Comes in all sizes, for all sorts of hoops. Little ones for the kids, big ones for the pros. And they ain’t cheap, I tell ya. Everything costs a pretty penny these days.
Now, I seen some folks puttin’ up backdrops in their backyards. Little Johnny next door, he got his daddy to put one up. He’s always out there shootin’ hoops. Keeps him outta trouble, mostly. And that’s a good thing, I reckon.
