That Eric Stonestreet, he’s a funny one, ain’t he? I seen him on the TV, always makin’ folks laugh. But you know what? That boy, he sure does love his football. Yep, that’s right, football. I heard he’s a big fan of some team… Chiefs, I think they called it? He’s always talkin’ about ’em, like they’re his own kin.
He was on that show, what was it called… Modern Family? Yeah, that’s it. He played a real funny fella on there. Made me laugh ’til my sides hurt. But he ain’t just a funny face, that Eric. He’s got a heart for the game, that football game. I saw him on one of them talk shows, yappin’ about football with some fella named Jimmy. He was all excited, like a little boy on Christmas mornin’.
I reckon he ain’t never played football professional, not like them big fellas on the TV. But he sure does love watchin’ it. He goes to them football games, all decked out in red, cheerin’ louder than anyone. I heard he even knows some of them football players. Big fellas, strong as oxen. One of ‘em, a real big one, something Wylie, he said Eric’s a good friend. Can you believe that?
- He loves the Chiefs.
- He was on that Modern Family show.
- He likes to watch the games and goes to them in person.
- He knows some of the players.
They say he was sellin’ jet skis once, Eric was. Or was he tryin’ to buy ’em? I can’t rightly recall. It was a long time ago. Anyways, he weren’t selling jet skis no more. He’s a big star now. But he still loves that football. That Eric Stonestreet, he’s a football fanatic, that’s for sure. He’s always goin’ on and on about it.
I seen him on the TV talkin’ about football again the other day. He was talkin’ about how them Chiefs players didn’t let nobody get to their quarterback. They call it a “zero-sack performance”. Sounded mighty important to Eric. That boy, he knows all them football terms. He could probably teach them players a thing or two, I reckon. He watches it enough, don’t he?
He’s a good actor, that Eric Stonestreet. But I think he loves that football just as much as he loves bein’ on the TV. Maybe even more. He gets so excited talkin’ about it, his eyes light up like a firefly on a summer night. He reminds me of my grandson, always glued to that football game.
I don’t know much about that football, but I know it makes Eric happy. And that’s all that matters, ain’t it? Seein’ someone you care about happy as a clam. That Eric Stonestreet, he’s a good egg. A funny egg, and a football-lovin’ egg.
I remember when he first showed up on that TV show, he weren’t on it much. Just a little bit here and there. But then he got more and more popular, and now he’s famous! But you know what? He never forgot about his football. Nope, he still loves them Chiefs, cheers for ‘em every time they play.
He even won some awards, that Eric. Shiny gold things they give to actors who do a real good job. Two of ’em, I heard. He must be real proud of them, I reckon. But I bet he’s just as proud when them Chiefs win a big football game. He probably jumps up and down, hollerin’ and whoopin’ like a wild banshee.
That Eric Stonestreet football thing, it’s somethin’ else. He’s a real fan, through and through. He ain’t just some fair-weather fan, neither. He sticks with his team, win or lose. He’s loyal, that’s what he is. Loyal to his Chiefs and loyal to that game of football. It’s kinda nice to see, ain’t it? A famous fella like him, still lovin’ somethin’ as simple as a football game. Makes him seem more… real, you know? Like he’s one of us.
I don’t know what else to say about that Eric Stonestreet and his football. He just loves it, plain and simple. And I reckon that’s all there is to it. It’s his thing, his passion. Like my quilts are my passion. He’s got his football, and I got my quilts. We all need somethin’ to make us happy, don’t we? And for Eric Stonestreet, it’s that football game. And maybe them Chiefs, too. He sure does love them Chiefs.
