- The fancy-pants ones (cashmere and such): These are for when you wanna show off a bit, let people know you got some money to spare. I seen them at the Macy’s, hanging there all pretty, but I wouldn’t dare touch ‘em, afraid I’d get ‘em dirty.
Where do you get these things? Well, pretty much everywhere now. Like I said, even Walmart got ‘em. But you can find nicer ones at places like Nordstrom or Dick’s Sporting Goods, or even that SHEIN place the young’uns are always talking about. They got all sorts, from the cheap ones to the ones that cost an arm and a leg. It’s all a matter of how much you wanna spend, and what you’re gonna wear it for.
Now, how do you wear ‘em? Like I said, you can wear ‘em with pretty much anything. Jeans and a t-shirt is always a good bet. Or maybe them stretchy pants, the ones that are so comfy you could sleep in ‘em. And if you wanna get dressed up, you can wear ‘em with a skirt or them dressy pants, the kind you iron so hard you could cut butter with ‘em.
And the colors, Lord have mercy, the colors! You got your black, your navy, your gray, them are the sensible ones. But then you got your reds, your yellows, your pinks, even some with them fancy patterns, like flowers or stripes or them little diamond shapes. It’s enough to make your head spin! I say, stick to somethin’ that goes with most of your clothes, unless you’re one of them ladies who likes to stand out in a crowd, then go for the bright colors, I say. You only live once, might as well wear a bright pink sports coat if it makes you happy.
So, there you have it, my two cents on women’s sports coats. They ain’t just for them city folk anymore. Even us country girls can wear ‘em, long as they keep us warm and don’t cost a fortune. And hey, if you find one that fits good and makes you feel pretty, then go for it, I say. Life’s too short to wear boring clothes, even if you’re just going to the feed store.
