Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this thing called “Baseball Isn’t Boring” podcast. You know, some folks say baseball is slow, like watchin’ grass grow. But this fella, Rob Bradford, he don’t think so. He’s on a mission, he says, to show everyone that baseball ain’t boring at all. He’s got this daily podcast, see?

Every day, Rob, he talks about baseball. Not just the big stuff, the home runs and the strikeouts, but all sorts of things. He talks about the players, the ones you see on TV all the time, but also the ones you don’t hear much about. He calls ’em “hidden gems,” I think. Like them shiny rocks you find in the creek, but these are baseball players, not rocks.
What’s in this here podcast?
Well, Rob, he plays the best bits from the baseball games the day before. So, if you missed a game, you can listen to his podcast and hear what happened. He picks out the exciting parts, the ones that make you jump outta your seat. Or maybe not jump, ’cause my old bones ain’t what they used to be, but you know, the exciting parts.
- He talks about the big stories in baseball. You know, like when a team wins a whole bunch of games in a row, or when a player hits a home run to win the game.
- He also talks about the players. He tells you about their lives, where they came from, and how they got to be so good at baseball. It’s kinda like listenin’ to your neighbor gossip, but about baseball players.
- And like I said, he talks about those “hidden gems,” the players that don’t get all the attention, but are still important to the game. It’s nice to hear about those fellas, too. They work hard, just like us.
Why listen to it, you ask?
Well, if you like baseball, then you’ll probably like this podcast. It’s a good way to keep up with what’s going on in the baseball world. And if you think baseball is boring, well, maybe Rob can change your mind. He sure tries hard, that’s for sure. He talks and talks, just like my grandson when he gets excited about them video games.
I ain’t gonna lie, I didn’t understand all the baseball talk at first. All them fancy words and numbers, they made my head spin. But Rob, he explains things pretty good, even for an old gal like me. And if I still don’t get it, well, I just listen to the sounds of the game, the crack of the bat and the roar of the crowd. That’s always fun.
Where can you find this podcast?
Now, I ain’t too good with this here internet stuff, but my grandson showed me. You can find this “Baseball Isn’t Boring” podcast on all them podcast places, like Apple Podcasts and TuneIn and somethin’ called Audacy. And Podbay, whatever that is. Just type it in, or tell your phone to find it. It ain’t too hard, even for an old lady like me. My grandson, he says it’s on the “web,” like a spider web, I guess, but for computers.
So, is baseball boring?
I don’t know. Sometimes it is, I guess. But Rob, he makes it sound pretty interesting. He’s got so much energy, like a young pup chasin’ squirrels. He really loves baseball, and he wants everyone else to love it too. He talks real fast sometimes, gotta keep up with him. He talks about a new game every day, that’s a lot of baseball.
So, if you got some time, give it a listen. Maybe you’ll learn somethin’ new about baseball. Or maybe you’ll just hear some exciting stories. Either way, it’s better than sittin’ around watchin’ paint dry, that’s for sure. And if you still think baseball is boring after listenin’ to Rob, well, then I guess there’s no helpin’ ya. But remember, Rob Bradford’s on a mission. A mission to prove that baseball ain’t boring and he’s doing a good job. Baseball games, baseball players, he talks about them all. He even talks about the weather sometimes. That man can talk about anything.
Final words from an old lady
I never thought I’d listen to a podcast, let alone one about baseball. But here I am, tellin’ you all about it. It’s kinda like listenin’ to the radio, but better, ‘cause you get to choose what you listen to. And Rob, he’s a good fella to listen to, even if he does talk a mile a minute. So, give it a try. You might be surprised. And who knows, maybe you’ll become a baseball fan, just like me and Rob.
