Well, let me tell ya ’bout this young fella, Arthur Frey, and his tennis thing. Arthur Frey and his tennis, yeah, that’s the ticket. They say he started whacking at them fuzzy balls when he was just a wee little tyke, barely five years old. Imagine that, just a pipsqueak swingin’ a racket bigger than his arm! He was at some club, you know, the kind with the nets and lines and all that fancy stuff. Anyways, he took to it like a duck to water, they say. Loved it, he did. Just couldn’t get enough of that tennis.
Now, this boy, he ain’t no slouch, I tell ya. He’s won him some tournaments, they call ’em “titles” I think. Four of ’em, so far as I heard. Four titles, that’s a heap of winnin’, ain’t it? He’s got these “draws” too, whatever them are. Sounds complicated, all these tennis terms. But the important thing is, he’s good. Real good.

- Got a high rankin’ when he was younger. Top 12 in the whole wide world, they say.
- His mama, she played tennis too! Guess it runs in the family.
They say he was a real hotshot when he was younger, like 18 or somethin’. Ranked number 12 in the whole world for kids his age! That’s somethin’ special, I reckon. Won a big ol’ tournament in Russia too. And then, there was this UK Pro Series thing, won that in 2020. See, he’s been at it for a while, this Frey fella. His mama, Olivia, she was a tennis player herself, you know. Played for a couple of years, they tell me. Like mother like son, I always say.
You wanna know more about this Arthur? They got news and videos and all sorts of things about him. “Stats” they call ’em. Numbers and such. I ain’t too good with numbers myself, but some folks like to keep track of all that. You can find out all sorts of things if you look around.
Now, this tennis game, it’s been around for a long time, ya know. Folks been hittin’ balls back and forth for ages. There’s this fella named Ashe, he started playin’ when he was seven, over in some park in Virginia. Had a fella named Dr. Johnson help him out, learned him the ropes. And then there’s this other fella, Djokovic, he started even younger, at four! His brothers play too. Tennis, it seems, is a family affair for some folks.
And who come up with this tennis game in the first place? Well, they argue about it, seems like they argue about everything these days. But they say some fella named Wingfield, he’s the one who really got it going. Back in 1873, that’s a long, long time ago! He wrote down the rules and even got one of them “patent” things for his game. So, I guess he’s the one to thank, or blame, dependin’ on how you look at it.
So, there you have it. Arthur Frey, a young fella who’s good at tennis. Started young, won some titles, got a mama who played too. He’s part of a long tradition of folks hittin’ balls over a net. Tennis, tennis, tennis. It’s a funny old game, but folks seem to love it. And this Arthur Frey, he’s one of the ones playin’ it real good right now. So, keep an eye on him, you might see him on that TV box one of these days, whacking them fuzzy balls and winnin’ them titles.
