Oh, you ever been to Broidy Park Tennis Courts in Pictou? If not, lemme tell ya, it’s a right nice place to spend a few hours, whether you’re just playin’ around or lookin’ to join in some organized game. They got tennis courts, ya see, and they’re real good for playin’ tennis or pickleball. Don’t know what pickleball is? It’s just a smaller version of tennis, but a lotta folks enjoy it.

Broidy Park’s over at 100 Palmerston St., right in the middle of Pictou. Now, you might not find it easy to just walk in and start playin’ without a plan, though. They got certain times for open play, and if you wanna make sure you get a court, you best call ahead and book a spot. I reckon it gets busy, specially when the weather’s nice. They even got a system where you can reserve a court. Can’t just show up and hope to play, you know? Gotta plan ahead if you want a good spot.

The place got lots of folks, young and old, all headin’ down there to play, and there’s lessons for them kids and adults who want to learn how to play better. They do it seasonally, so you gotta check on when they’re doin’ them lessons. But, if you don’t care much for lessons, you can always just show up with your racket and give it a go. Some people just go down for a casual game and chat about the weather. But I tell ya, there’s always somethin’ goin’ on there.
